This elegantly engraved early plan shows Sir Francis Drake's attack on Cartagena. Ships fill the surrounding waters, and units of soldiers skirmish on the outskirts of town. North is oriented to the bottom, and the title appears in a drape-like cartouche. On a trimmed sheet of Italian text.

Condition: A

On a faintly toned sheet with a crescent moon watermark, a few minor abrasions in engraved image, and minor dampstaining in the right blank margin.
