As the "About the Author" boasts, "In the course of researching 1421 [Menzies] has visited 120 countries, more than 900 museums and libraries, and every major sea port of the late Middle Ages." Mann's deeply researched book on the sophisticated Indigenous civilizations that existed in the Americas long before Columbus arrived. The book is illustrated with 15 original maps and several black & white photographs and illustrations peppered throughout the text. 553 pages. Soft illustrated covers. Condition: Near fine with a hint of shelf wear.
