This detailed map of the region is centered on Persia, and it also shows present-day Iraq, Afghanistan, and part of Pakistan, extending east to the Indus River. There is great detail of towns, roads, political boundaries, and the rivers in the region. The allegorical title cartouche features the angel of Fame and two Persian men, one with gold, jewels, and oriental rugs, and the other with a globe and mapmaking tools.
