An unusual vertical orientation makes this an interesting map of the polar regions. The South Pole shows Tierra del Fuego as the only land, and the North Pole includes a portion of the coastline of fictional Anian, with a well-developed Arctic for the period. Novaya Zemla is shown with a partial coastline. Billowing clouds and vigorous wind heads surround the spheres with ribbon title banners completing the interesting composition.
