"Magna Britannia Complectens Angliae, Scotiae et Hiberniae Regna in suas Provincias et Comitatus Divisa", Homann, Johann Baptist

Large decorative map of the British Isles with a huge title cartouche featuring an allegorical representation of Britannia and a host of putti in a cloud background with a portrait of portrait of King George I and the royal coat of arms. This is the first of two plates, fourth state, with King George's portrait replacing that of Queen Anne.

A sharp impression with contemporary color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet. There is light toning along the centerfold at top and light soiling that is mostly confined to the edges of the sheet.
