This lot includes two examples of Colton's maps of Savannah and Georgia, one with a decorative strapwork border and the other with a simple lined border. The two maps are drawn on one sheet and to the same scale, and include excellent detail with streets named and important places and building located.

A. The City of Savannah Georgia [on sheet with] The City of Charleston South Carolina, (16.0 x 13.0"). This strapwork border was used on Colton's maps between 1856-88.
B. The City of Savannah Georgia [on sheet with] The City of Charleston South Carolina, from General Atlas, published 1857 (14.6 x 11.9").
