This attractive hemisphere map is surrounded in a frame-style border that was printed from a separate copper plate. Australia is partially mapped and then completed into an odd shape by hachures connecting Tasmania and New Guinea. The maps includes numerous explorers' routes and important recent discoveries.
Full contemporary color on a bright, watermarked sheet with some minute worm holes and dampstaining in the top and bottom margins.
