This bird's-eye plan of Columbia University is drawn in three dimensions with each building labeled, centered on Low Memorial Library. The school's motto, "In lumine Tuo videbimus lumen" (In Thy light shall we see light), is at top left and the seal is at bottom right. The plan was drawn by Leroy H. Appleton and published by Norman T. A. Munder. On verso is an advertisement for the Munder System for Paper Selection. This map appeared in the Achievement in Photo-Engraving and Letter-Press Printing, published by the American Photo-Engravers Association, as an example of the works of Norman T. A. Munder, "one of America's foremost artist printers."
