A finely engraved map covering the region from Iran and India east to include Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo. The densely-filled map presents excellent detail of topography and river systems, and reveals scores of place names. The map notes the "English Territorial Acquisitions" which at this time would have included portions of India, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia. Issued in Dunn's A New Atlas of the Mundane System... and printed by Robert Sayer.

A dark impression with contemporary outline color on paper with a Strasbourg Bend & Lily watermark. There is light offsetting.
