Although the text below the map focuses on Japan, the map extends to include part of China, Korea, and the northern Philippines. Only Kyushu (Chickock), Shikoku (Sayekock), and the southern half of Honshu are shown. Indeed the text mentions that "Japan is generally esteemed to be an island, though this is called in question by some." On a sheet of English text measuring 8.6 x 14.0". A sharp impression on a clean, bright sheet with a "D" watermark. There is light show-through of text on verso, some minor creasing, and a bit of toning along the edges of the sheet.
