This handsome map covers the northeastern part of England. It is filled with information on the topography, forests, cities, and towns. The map is beautifully engraved in Mercator's characteristic style with a stipple engraved sea, flourishing calligraphy and is embellished with a large title cartouche. French text on verso, published in 1628 or 1633.

Condition: A

A nice impression with full contemporary color on a watermarked sheet with a small paper flaw in the sea, a short centerfold separation at top, and light soiling and dampstains along the edges of the sheet.
