This map of the southern part of Sweden depicts the forests, lakes and numerous place names. The large cartouches have a military theme with Mars and his fierce hounds atop the title. The map is further embellished with several sailing ships and coats of arms. This is the first state with a scales cartouche at lower left. Latin text on verso, published between 1640-43.

Condition: B
A crisp impression with contemporary color in the map and likely later color in the decorative elements. There is uneven toning and a bit of foxing.
