The double-page map of the United States also features the large Oregon Territory filling the Northwest, Mexico in control of the Southwest, and a large area in Texas labeled "Herds of Buffaloes and Wild Horses." The Map of the Chief Part of the Western States includes an early depiction of Iowa Territory. Hardbound with pictorial paper over boards.

Contemporary color on very clean bright sheets with occasional foxing and minor soiling mostly in the margins. Covers have minimal wear. This is one of the nicest examples of this atlas that we have encountered.
