This striking map of the whole of Portugal and the contiguous parts of Spain extends as far east as Salamanca and Sevilla. The map is finely detailed with the locations of fortifications, roads, churches, abbeys and hundreds of tiny villages. It is decorated with two fine cartouches, each embellished in the classical manner with putti and coats of arms.

Contemporary outline color with later coloring in the cartouches, a bit of printer's ink residue, and light marginal soiling.
