This picturesque map of the eastern Mediterranean covers the region from Rome through Asia Minor and the Holy Land and depicts the ministry of Apostle Paul. Panels of Biblical scenes at the bottom show major events in Christianity, from the expulsion of Adam and Eve, through the resurrection of Christ. A large cartouche is surrounded by figures and a banner title is held by two cherubs. Engraved by Jacob Lindenberg. Blank verso.

Condition: A

A dark impression with marginal soiling, light toning along the edges of the sheet, and a worm track in the bottom margin that has been closed with old paper on verso with minute loss of the neatline.
