"Celebrate the West! A Unique Place to Live - An Exciting Place to Visit",

This busy pictorial map was created by Al Wiseman and published by United Airlines to promote its "West Coaster" service. Wiseman packed the map full of illustrations capturing the region's history including an exuberant miner discovering gold, Black Bart robbing a stage coach, and Lewis & Clark portaging their canoe into Oregon. Related text on verso. Self-folding (6.0 x 4.0"). Wiseman was a cartoonist best known for the Dennis the Menace comic books and cartoons.
