A very uncommon map with a pictorial cartouche featuring Chinese merchants with a large tower in the background. The map covers most of China with an unusually wide depiction of the Korean peninsula showing the Isle de Fungma ou de Quelpaerts at its southern tip. Near Singan (Xi'an), there is a note referring to the "Nestorian Stele," a limestone block dating back to 718 referring to early Christian communities in China.

A dark impression that is slightly weak in the title cartouche, issued folding with very light toning and faint damp stains along the edges of the sheet.
