A. Turky in Europe, by Abel Swall and Timothy Child, circa 1695, hand color (5.4 x 7.3"). This handsome map stretches from Romania south to Crete. Numerous cities are located, and there is fine topographical detail. The allegorical title cartouche features religious imagery and two struggling men in chains. On a full sheet of English text measuring 10.3 x 7.9". Condition: Faint show-through of text on verso and some spots that lie outside the map image. (A)

B. An Accurate Map of the Seat of War in the Mediterranean Including the Morea and Archipelago, by John Lodge, from Gentleman's Magazine, dated 1770, black & white (7.6 x 7.5"). This finely engraved chart centers on Greece and extends to include parts of Albania, Macedonia, Romania, and Anatolia, with the Grecian islands including Crete. Ref: Jolly #GENT-202. Condition: Issued folding with light toning, minor offsetting, and a tiny worm hole. (B+)

C. A New and Accurate Map of Turkey in Europe, Drawn from the Best Authorities; and Engrav'd for the Supplement to the Gent. Mag., by John Lodge, from Gentleman's Magazine, dated 1770, black & white (9.9 x 8.7"). This copper engraved map covers the area from the Ionian Sea to the Black Sea and includes Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Transylvania, and part of Hungary. Adorned with a very decorative rococo-style cartouche. Ref: Jolly #GENT-205. Condition: A crisp impression issued folding with minor offsetting of text from an opposing page. The margin has been trimmed to the neatline at top left. (B+)

D. Graecia, by F. & J. Rivington, dated 1849, hand color (8.3 x 7.3"). This small map is filled with ancient place names and includes a color-coded guide to the classical regions. Condition: Contemporary outline color with minor toning. (A)
