This attractive copper engraved carte-a-figures map covers France in great detail. Ten figures flank the left and right side of the map showing the King, Queen, a merchant, a lawyer and a farmer to name a few. Above the map are eight town plans including Paris, Orleans and Bordeaux. Imprint of Bassett and Chiswell in the title cartouche. English text on verso.

Condition: B+

On watermarked paper with a Strasbourg bend watermark. There is light offsetting along the centerfold and a few tiny holes only visible when held to light. Several centerfold separations as well as an edge tear at bottom have all been archivally repaired on verso.
