This small but densely detailed plan of New York City was published by John Disturnell in a 71-page travel guide. It lays out the streets of Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn with stunning precision and clarity for a map of its size. A key at left identifies churches, banks, theaters, markets, hotels, and railroads. A dozen notable civic buildings are located as well. There is a handsome view of the city from Weehawk in an inset at top right. Surrounded by an intricate decorative border. Engraved by J.F. Morin.
