This boldly and elegantly engraved map with gilt highlights centers on Antwerp and shows the cities of Brussels, Mechelen, Leuven, Breda, and Hulst. The map features great detail of the region, including cities, towns, fortifications, roads, waterways, and topography. The title cartouche at top right features the allegorical figures for Truth and Justice, as well as putti and the coat of arms of Mechelen. Another cartouche at bottom encases the distance scales and shows a putto with surveying tools.

Condition: B+

A sharp impression with contemporary color and gilt highlights. There is an archivally repaired centerfold separation at bottom that extends 2.5" into the image.
