This pictorial map shows the islands of New Caledonia, Vanuatu, and French Polynesia, previously known as the French Establishments of Oceania (Etablissements Francais de l'Oceanie). New Caledonia is illustrated with images of agricultural resources on the island, including rice, pigs, cows and bananas. On verso are photographic images of the islands, as well as French text describing the islands.

This map was part of a series of 8 pictorial maps of French possessions around the world, published by the pharmaceutical company Vichy Laboratories to promote their products "Neutroses-Vichy" and "Vegerenyl," which are advertised on verso. Neutroses-Vichy was an antacid created to treat upset stomach, and Vegerenyl was purported to treat ailments affecting the kidney and bladder; however the Vegerenyl ad on verso is partially obscured by an ink stamp indicating that production of the product had been suspended. Printed by Petit Jean.
