This map is centered approximately on Quebec and details the St. Lawrence River and its gulf to include Nova Scotia, Anticosti and part of Cape Breton Island. The area shown includes a large region named Nouvelle Ecosse, which appears to have absorbed present-day Maine and parts of New Hampshire and Vermont. The area of present-day Nova Scotia is named Acadie.
