This miniature map of Romania and Moldova depicts major towns and key topographical features. The map is bounded by the Dniester River in the northeast, the Black Sea in the east, and the Danube River in the south. This is the second state with the addition of new nomenclature. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.
