This decorative map covers from Mexico City to Panama City and extends to include part of Cuba. Cozumel is named, as is the island of Grand Cayman. Lake Nicaragua is presented on an east-west orientation. The map is ornamented with a lovely cartouche surrounded with cherubs and exotic fruit, and five ships sail the sea. This map is quite rare as it was only published in Blaeu's Atlas Maior. Blank verso, published in the German edition.

References: Kapp (MCC-103) #13; Van der Krogt (Vol. II) #9550:2.

Condition: B+

Nice impression and full contemporary color with a few minor cracks that have been archivally repaired on verso, an extraneous crease, and a professional repair along the lower centerfold.
