This copper engraved map of the island is oriented with the north to the left. It is fully engraved with detail of rivers, mountains, cities, and towns. On a full sheet of Latin text (11.9 x 20.0") with a large decorative capital. This map appeared in a Latin edition of Theatrum Orbis Terrarum published between 1635-55.

Contemporary color on a slightly toned sheet with a few spots of color offsetting from an opposing page and light soiling that is largely confined to the margins.
