This elegantly engraved map shows Switzerland, Northern Italy, Austria, Hungary, and the western part of the Balkan peninsula. It features province and city names from the era of the Roman Empire and includes some nice topographical detail. There is an ornate title cartouche at bottom left. Engraved by Louis Cordier.

Condition: B+
A dark impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet with the watermarks of a large coat of arms and the symbol for the Society of Jesus. There is very light toning along the centerfold, a printer's crease along the centerfold, and a stain that just touches the neatline at bottom left.
