This fascinating and unique souvenir folds into a delicate rose, and when unfolded it depicts steel engravings of famous buildings, cities and sights in eastern Canada. The 14 large and 14 small vignettes include the city of Toronto, St. James Cathedral in Toronto, the University of Toronto, Victoria Bridge at Montreal, St. Lawrence River, the falls at Montmorency, London, and Brockville. The "Canada Rose" was part of a series created by Joseph Myers in London, England that represented dozens of European cities, as well as New York, Montreal (two editions), Havana, and Melbourne. When folded, the rose fits into a small printed envelope with a vignette of the Parliament Building in Ottawa and the title, "The Canada Rose. Part. II." Printed by C. Adler in Hamburg and published by Joseph Myers in London.
