This map depicts the kingdom of Troy, with the famed city of Troy located along the coast, just to the left of center. The kingdom of Troy was ruled by King Priam and is best known for the Trojan War, which is symbolized by the Trojan Horse depicted in the title cartouche. The region is divided into nine dynasties and is filled with ancient place names and mountain ranges.

A sharp impression with contemporary outline color in the map and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet with a large coat of arms watermark and just a hint of toning along the centerfold.
