This detailed regional map of the Rhine and Moselle regions exhibits the Theatre of War in 1702. The western German cities of Frankfurt, Heidelburg, Munster and Cologne are shown. The map extends to the Belgian coast to include Antwerp and Brussels, east to the French city of Reims, including Luxembourg and south to Swiss Zurich. The sheet includes two decorative cartouches, one incorporates a battle scene outside the city of Landau; the other with an inset of the Rhine River valley, this one surrounded by personifications of the rivers and wine.
