A fine map of France as described by Julius Caesar marking the locations of tribes and ancient towns. Southern England and Wales and Ireland are shown top left. Three decorative cartouches ornament the map including one flanked by Roman soldiers.

Condition: A

Contemporary outline color in the map with later color in the cartouches, on a bright sheet of paper with a large coat of arms watermark. There is a hint of toning along the centerfold, marginal soiling, and a couple of minor chips along the edges of the sheet.
