The map is on a full folio sheet (21.9 x 17.5") surrounded by English text giving a brief description of the state's boundaries, rivers, climate, chief towns, government and history. The finely engraved map delineates counties, rivers and marshes, and major towns. While the western portion of the state is still largely unsettled, a number of trails and wagon roads are developing. In the northern portion of the state the "Claims under Baron Bastrop's Title" are identified. Engraved by Kneass.
