This splendidly decorative map covers the Muese River valley including Namur and Liege, with west oriented at top of map. It is exquisitely engraved with an elaborate cartouche and scale of miles. German text on verso. This is the first state of this plate with no stippling behind the text "Scala Milliarium Leodieuf" in the distance scale. Very early impression of this map.

Full contemporary color on paper with a coat of arms watermark, light soiling, and a few tiny worm holes in the image. Narrow top margin, as issued. Remnants of hinge tape on verso.
