This is a simple, yet elegantly engraved map depicting ancient Scandinavia. The map focuses on the rivers and lakes and shows tribal divisions without place names. Dated 1654 but published in 1667.

References: Pastoureau, SANSON V [105].

Condition: A

A sharp impression with contemporary outline color and later color in the cartouche, on a bright sheet with a large coat of arms watermark and very wide margins. There is a hint of toning along the centerfold and a small hole in the top left corner of the sheet.
