This photographic view is nearly 3 feet long and celebrates the arrival of the 36th or Panther Division of the National Guard of Texas and Oklahoma. The 25,000 member division participated in a number of major battles during World War I, and is shown here passing in "Farewell Review" before General Grebe and a cheering crowd of over 300,000. The wide panoramic view also allows for close inspection of the buildings and businesses throughout much of the city at a time when the city's population was hovering around 100,000. Printed by Paxton & Evans in Forth Worth. OCLC locates only the Library of Congress example.
