Fantastic detail of the countryside identifies small villages, roads, topography, rivers and more. The fortified cities of Urbino, Bologne, Modena, Mantova, Vicenza, Parma are located. The large and very handsome title cartouche depicts royalty, soldiers, Mercury and the allegorical figure of Fame above the coat of arms of Venice.
Contemporary color in the map with later color in the cartouche and a professionally repaired hole along the centerfold at bottom, with a minor amount of the image replaced in facsimile. There is light soiling and toning along the edges of the sheet, and the margins are narrow, as issued.
