This uncommon and attractive map of the Ukraine has excellent detail of the river systems and charming, pictorial topography. It is decorated with two elegantly engraved cartouches that suggest the riches of the farm, including sheaves of wheat, cattle and Demeter, the goddess of the harvest. The cartouche at top right includes four distance scales and a key that identifies towns and cities both big and small, villages, dioceses, and colleges. An elaborate compass rose at right completes the composition.
