This is a close copy of Abraham Ortelius' map of the same title, with redesigned cartouches. It is an elegant map depicting the Iberian peninsula in ancient times. The region of Gibraltar and Cadiz are included in a decorative architectural inset set atop Latin text and attended by allegorical figures. The title cartouche is draped with fruit. Beautifully engraved by Abraham Goos, one of the most important engravers of the period. Blank verso, likely published in Georgius Hornius' Accuratissima Orbis Antiqui Delineatio (1652-84).

References: Van der Krogt (Vol. I) #6000H:1.2.

A sharp impression with a 2.5" centerfold separation at bottom that has been professionally repaired on verso with archival materials along with a tiny tear in the bottom right corner.
