This mammoth and apparently scarce map of the United States is surrounded by 31 illustrations of animals found in the United States. Each illustration is accompanied by a detailed description and features the prairie dog, cougar, armadillo, black bear, beaver to name a few. The large U.S. map at center identifies national parks, mountain peaks, rivers, and place names. The map was prepared by Hammond for Necco - makers of the famous Sky Bar and Necco Wafers. Given the map's size, it was likely intended as a classroom instructional aid. There are no past sales records and only one institutional copy located on OCLC.
