This frontispiece centers on Jupiter, who sits on a globe atop a cloud, flanked by two statues. Above him, lightening bolts and rain descend from the sky. The bottom half of the engraving shows animals representing the four continents: a lion for Africa, a monkey for the Americas, a camel for Asia, and a well-groomed horse and rider for Europe.
