This is the first state of this nicely engraved copperplate map of India, Southern China, and part of Southeast Asia. The map extends from the eastern border with Persia and includes Coree and Formosa. There is good detail of political boundaries, rivers and mountain ranges. Embellished with a fine cartouche engraved by Arrivet. Engraved by E. Dussy.

Condition: A

A crisp impression with contemporary color in the map and later color in the cartouche on paper with an "IV" watermark. There are some small worm holes confined to the far blank margins.
