This fine chart of Peloponessos is beautifully engraved and filled with information including the fortified cities. The large pictorial title cartouche features the sword-brandishing Lion of Venice with a group of Turkish prisoners, commemorating the Venetian triumph against the Ottoman Empire in 1688. This map was copied from Nicolas Visscher's map Peloponnesus Hodie Morea deo Favente... circa 1680.

A sharp impression on a bright sheet with contemporary outline color, light toning along the centerfold, an archivally repaired centerfold separation at bottom, and several dampstains.
