A large-scale newspaper-style map of the coastal region from Cape Charles, opposite Norfolk, Virginia to Cape Fear, south of Wilmington, North Carolina. On the back is a full page of text about the events of 1861 and two illustrations of Union ships in the area. A rare and interesting view of the Outer Banks during this time period.
