This is a later edition of a pictorial map by Ruth Lippen Gardinson that was published on behalf of the Armed Forces Recreation Committee. It shows good detail of individual streets, buildings, tourist attractions, and includes a key to 12 points of interest at lower left. The map locates the U.S. Naval War College, Naval Hospital, Fort Adams, and the Newport Yacht Club to name a few. Decorated by a compass rose with north to the left, and a note at bottom "Welcomes All Servicemen!"
