This large pictorial map was drawn by Robert Hyde de Grange and published by the Pictorial Map Company. It features important facts about each state along with numerous illustrations including giant redwoods and gold panning in California, the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1889, and the Wright Brothers first flight in North Carolina to name a few. Important overland routes are also delineated including the Oregon Trail, Mormon Trail, Santa Fe Trail, Pony Express, and more. Four insets surround the map including the expansion of the United States and a timeline of key events. Blank verso.

A colorful example on a bright sheet, issued folding. There is some light wear along the upper horizontal fold at left, and a few tiny splits at the fold junctions with minor image loss.
