This is a special limited edition copy (#78 out of just 100 copies) published by Halton & Truscott Smith Ltd., London, 1926. It is an excellent and sought after reference compiled from maps in the MacPherson Collection, one of the finest collections in existence. Seventy-nine maps are reproduced, including 19 full-color (1 folding) tipped in, and it includes a catalogue of atlases published from 1477 to1875. 4to, three quarter vellum over brown cloth boards with gilt titles on the spine. Printed on quality rag stock.
