This rare Cram atlas is complete with 20 double-page maps emphasizing the middle of the country from Ohio south to Georgia and west to the Dakotas, Colorado and Texas. Each map is tipped in and shows county development, the state of surveying, railroads, and topography and is accompanied by an extensive town and population index. Of particular interest are maps of Colorado, Texas and Indian Territory. Blank versos. Rebacked in quarter leatherette over original cloth boards with gilt title on the front cover. No past sales records of this 1882 edition, and only one record of this title regardless of year.
