A. Carte Particuliere des Costes de l'Afrique qui Comprend le Royaume de Maroc &c..., (33.3 x 21.7"). This striking, large chart features the coast of Morocco. It shows the region from Cape Spartel to south of Cabo de Nao (Cape Chaunar). There is good detail along the coastline of ports and soundings, but there is little inland information except for Ville de Maroc. The chart is filled with rhumb lines and two compass roses, with north oriented to the left. On two sheets, joined. Condition: A dark impression in original outline color with moderate toning along the centerfold and light to moderate offsetting. (B)

B. Carte des Costes de l'Afrique Depuis Cabo Corso Jusques a Omorro..., (16.9 x 22.4"). This handsome chart focuses on the stretch of African coast from around Cape Coast in present-day Ghana to roughly today's Benguela Province in Angola. There are numerous rivers, capes, and place names identified along the coast, but there is very little inland detail. The region is subdivided into various kingdoms, including Arda, Benin, Gabon, Loango, Congo, Angola, and Cafres. There is a compass rose capped with a fleur-de-lis and rhumb lines in the ocean. The title and three distance scales are enclosed in simple cartouches at top right. Condition: A crisp impression with original outline color on a watermarked sheet with minor toning. (A)

C. Carte Particuliere des Costes de l'Afrique qui Comprend une Partie de Congo..., (16.8 x 22.4"). This striking sea chart zooms in on present-day Angola on the western coast of Africa. It shows Cidade de Sao Paulo de Loanda (Luanda), Ponta dos Palmeirinha, and Cabo Ledo. The map is adorned with a dramatic compass rose and rhumb lines. A key locates seven areas of interest around Luanda. Condition: A nice impression with original outline color on a slightly toned sheet. There is minor foxing. (B+)
