This is the classically detailed and hard-to-find Italian edition of de Vaugondy's map of North Africa. The map covers the region from the Sahara to the southern reaches of Portugal, Spain, and Italy. There are plenty of place names and excellent detail of coastal features. The interior is left mostly blank except for several comments in French. It features a decorative title cartouche with a lion and female figure reclining beneath palm trees and three distance scales.
