This map first appeared in the 1598 French edition of the Theatrum and includes two maps on one sheet. At left is a map based on the work of Jean du Temps, centered approximately on the Loire River and extending from Amboise in the west to Orleans in the east, and as far south as Chateauroux. The map at right follows the work of physician Jean Fayen. It shows the region directly to the south, extending as far south as Perigueux, west just past St. Junien, and east to the Dordogne River. French text on verso.

A sharp impression on watermarked paper with light toning, a centerfold separation at bottom, and some damp stains along the edges of the sheet. Old manuscript page number in bottom margin.
